From the Court: Area Prep Scores
Seven area high school teams hit the hardwood Friday night.
In the 6Sports High School Game of the Week, the Lansing girls took on the Bobcats of Basehor -Linwood. The Bobcats get the win, 60-43. You can see a taped replay of the game Friday at 10:30 p.m. or anytime on Knology On Demand.
The Lansing boys edged out Basehor-Linwood, 59-58.
The Lawrence High girls played in the consolation bracket semi-finals of the Firebird Winter Classic against Blue Valley West. LHS lost in overtime, 53-50.
The Free State girls were battling for a spot in the Classic's championship game. They beat Washburn Rural, 38-36. The Firebirds will play in the championship on Saturday at 2:15 p.m.
Both Tonganoxie teams win Friday. Both the boys and the girls played Atchison. The girls won, 47-33. The boys also got the "W," 64-33.
