Officials investigate suspicious device
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office briefly investigated a suspicious device near the Farmland Industries site Wednesday morning.
A Utility worker was inspecting a regulator near East 1625 and North 1500 Road when he saw an unfamiliar device. The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and Overland Park Police were called out to the scene to investigate.
Officials say it turned out to be a part. Investigators left the scene shortly.
