Winter Hiking Club will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 11; Jan, 25; Feb 8 and Feb. 22. The hikes are open to children 7 years-old to 12 years-old. Each field trip will have its own theme. Participants must be prepared go outside. Cost is $5 per child / per hike.
Registration for the hikes can be done online at www.lprd.org or by visiting any Parks and Recreation facility including: Prairie Park Nature Center; the Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, the Community Building, 115. West 11th St.; East Lawrence Recreation Center, 1245 East 15th St.; Holcom Park Recreation Center, 2700 W. 27th St. or the Parks and Recreation Administrative Office, 947 New Hampshire St., Suite 200B.
Price: $5.00 per child/per hike
